Eastman
Little town. Big heart. Legendary Fourth of July.
Eastman sits on a ridgetop at the junction of WI-27 and WI-179, where St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and the water tower mark the skyline as you come over the hill. This is agricultural ridge country; the kind of place where the community takes care of itself and shows up for each other.
Every Fourth of July, people come from across Crawford County for the parade, the pancake breakfast, live music, and fireworks. Summer softball draws crowds to the ballpark under the lights. There's a local butcher, a tavern, a church, a school district. The infrastructure is modest and intentional, and it works because the people who live there want it to.
